Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It's hard to believe we are already approaching the last quarter of the 2009-2010 school year. I sincerely hope all parents, students, and MVHS staff had a safe and relaxing spring break.

The third quarter will end on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Report cards will be distributed on April 14, 2010. Historically, student effort and grades decline during the third and fourth quarter. Please consistently encourage your child to complete all assignments, prepare for any exams and participate in extra credit projects. Furthermore, when monitoring your child's progress, please discuss any concerns and methods for improvement with the teachers and the academic counselor. Together, let us all work together and enjoy the success and feeling of accomplishment with our children.

The registration process at Moapa Valley High School is currently underway - or will be - within the next few weeks. Teachers will select the appropriate next course for your son/daughter during the month of April. MVHS administration and counselors will meet with all students to discuss course selections and provide registration forms to all students. For your convenience you can view the new course catalog on our website - moapavalleyschools.org. Counselors will visit with students one on one to make final scheduling considerations. Parents, please carefully review all pre-registration information your children bring home and contact the school counseling office at 397-2611 ext. 4300 if you have any questions/concerns.
